Ceramics! Month 5

Looking back at my 5th month of throwing on the wheel, I’ve made a decent amount of progress!

I’ve founded a goopy green color I like for the inside, especially when its paired with a crisp white interior. The effect on the outside happens when I combine a white and green layered after one another. Bottom bowl shows that especially well.

Moving forward I want to focus the next month on throwing with 2-4 lbs of clay. I have a lot of trouble centering and controlling more than 1.5lb currently, which limits the utility of the objects I can make. I’d love to make some nice large ramen or serving bowls or platters. Below are the largest bowls I’ve made so far, before and after being trimmed. If you look close you can see they’re a lil uneven, but they’re good enough to eat soup out of!

I have a big box of pieces I created and love, but am generating more work than I can easily give away to friends and family. I need an online store where I can let people just pay $1 and pay for shipping so I can share the work.

Don’t want to monetize the hobby, but I can’t go broke via FedEx.
